I can’t believe it. It’s not even October yet, but it’s true. Christmas will be here before we know it. Heck, I bet if you go to Walmart or Target they probably already have a small selection of Christmas decor to taunt you. It drives me crazy that nowadays stores start promoting the next holiday before the current one is even over! I’m already worried about Christmas and my kids don’t even have Halloween costumes yet! *sigh*
When I moved to the States I learned that in most people’s minds nothing Christmasy is allowed to happen until the day after Thanksgiving (the infamous Black Friday). But for the past few years, as soon as Halloween is over, the carols are on in just about every store you walk into. Don’t get me wrong — Christmas is my favorite time of year, but I don’t want to be sick of it by the time we actually reach the day! I love Christmas music, the chill outside and the decorations in the store, but I get tired of the over-commercialization of it all.
Anyway . . . that’s totally not why I’m writing today. I want to try and make some of your gift giving a little easier this year. I know for me, if I plan ahead and know what I’m getting for my friends and family, it saves me a lot of time and energy fighting the crowds in December! Also, I’ve come to REALLY love shopping online for presents! That way the only crowd I have to deal with is the one clamoring for lunch around the kitchen table!
So here’s the deal:
I will be running a sale on Stones of Remembrance (North America only) in hopes of easing your Christmas shopping list. Order 3 or more books and you’ll pay only $10 USD each plus tax and shipping. That’s more than a %15 discount if I did the math right (and I probably didn’t because I’m awful at math.)!
Here’s the important part:
The sale will run from Oct. 1, 2012 to Nov. 1, 2012 in order to ensure that your books get to you before Christmas and to allow plenty of time for them to reach Canada. Right now it’s taking roughly two weeks for books to ship from Texas to Canada. I want to make sure to have enough lead time to get the books printed, sent to me and then shipped to you before Christmas comes, though I will offer priority shipping if requested. Right now, it takes between 3-5 days to print books, 2-3 for me to receive them and then one more for me to turn around and ship them out to you. I’ll place the order on November 1st after I receive all payments and by my estimation (baring any major delays), they should be shipped out to you no later than the 15th. Canada will hopefully receive their orders by the beginning of December, and the rest of the US, hopefully within just a few days.
Stay tuned for more details:
