We are totally in the throes of summer here, the daily battle to stay inside in the A/C or brave the heat and jump in the mildly refreshing pool wages on! On one hand, I get to write, edit and write some more, on the other, I get to relax and spend time with my kids in the pool . . . we do our fair share of both.
Stones of Remembrance is inching closer and closer to being ready for publication, meanwhile, the Indiegogo campaign continues. I received another $100 in the mail last week, and have some extra funds designated for printing extra copies when the time comes! The biggest news of the week is that I was given a used MacBook to replace the awful excuse for a laptop that I’d been *trying* to use for the last 3 years. What a HUGE blessing that was! HUGE!!!! The next biggest news is that someone reached out to me on behalf of their 2nd annual women’s conference next summer! That is still very much a possibility rather than a certainty, but just the offer of it got me excited! I can’t believe that this is the life I get to live!
I finished book #2 in the currently untitled series that I’ve been working on, and I’m committing to myself to give the project a break until we get back from Colorado in July. Well, I’m committing to NOT start book 3. That’s progress! I’ve been working on this since April, I think, pretty non-stop, and I’m a little exhausted, but at the same time, feeling a little lost without a project in the pipe!
There are about 3 other manuscripts that need love and attention on the computer now that my editor has enlightened me to some of my more serious writing flaws. I catch them a lot more easily now when I make them, so, again . . . progress! I might just have to pull one of those up and start lovin’ on it a little!
