For any woman who’s ever birthed a child, the inarguable truth is that you can never be completely prepared for what labor will look and feel like. You can go into the delivery with a plan and come out with a baby who had some other idea about how it would come forth into the world.
The same is true with launching a book, though the labor pains are in a completely different category, you never know how things are going to turn out. I remember when Stones of Remembrance was in the pipeline I would wake up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night, terrified that it would be full of empty pages. I didn’t sleep much the week before it came out. I should have been more worried about eye color and coffee that turned into tea. And I don’t even like tea!
This time is going to, hopefully, be a little better as I have some professionals helping me on the formatting side and Rocky and I won’t be emailing it back and forth to each other endless times trying to make it look just right. I still probably won’t sleep much . . . just like an expectant new mommy.
Labor has begun, my friends. Nor Forsake (the e-book) is on Amazon and ready for pre-order. The official launch date for both paperback and e-book is June 17th, which is exactly ten days after we move back to Fort Worth. I can’t help but think the Lord planned this out so I wouldn’t have time for #allthefeels about moving. Never mind, He knows me better than that, and we’re already sharing lots of tender, tear-filled moments. I digress. . .
Don’t forget that there is an excerpt of Nor Forsake right here for your reading pleasure! If you love it, do me a favor and share this post! This book is more than just entertainment. There is a strong message of pursuit and surrender, and God’s faithfulness is the central theme. I want this message to reach far and touch the hearts of women on a deep and intimate level. The more you are able to share these posts, the excerpt, and the book links, the more people will see it and be stirred to invest in a story that will draw their hearts closer to their Creator. We can all get behind that can’t we? I thought so, and I thank you in advance!
Pray for me as I push through all of the copious yet deeply important tasks that are involved in the publishing process. Administration is not my gift, but I’m unwrapping it anyway, and I’m doing my best! I can’t wait to get you the final product!
