My Christmas Gift to You!

It feels kind of like Christmas morning here, as I have been getting to know my new laptop that we purchased (used) last night! I am so excited to finally have my third arm back! It’s crazy how much we come to depend on these big chunks of machinery! It’s a complete blessing that we found a great deal on a computer for even less money than the hotel gave us when my laptop was stolen. Praise you Jesus!

To celebrate, I’m giving you an early Christmas present!! If you will look at the box directly under my profile picture to the right of this screen, you will see a white box that has a file in it called, “Home for Christmas.” hosted by box.net.  That, my friends, is the Christmas short story I’ve been working on, completely free for you to download and share to your heart’s content (and don’t forget that Stones of Remembrance is a great Christmas gift, available online from most major e-readers {still no sony!!} and in paperback from Amazon and BN.com!)!

Unfortunately, for reasons outlined in a disclaimer in the file, this short story is only available as a PDF for now. You’ll have to download the file and read on to see what my plan is for the future of this story, and the future of the “No Greater Gift Short Story Series!”

Here is a copy of the dedication, because I wanted to also say something publicly:

Dedication

(Home for Christmas)

Today is December 15, 2012, the day after a national tragedy. This story is dedicated to the families who are now faced with living the rest of their lives with yesterday’s events hanging over their heads. I pray that the Father is present in their lives and that his comfort is undeniable among them. There is no sense to an act of violence like this, and my heart is broken for the precious lives lost, for the courageous teachers who gave their lives to protect those children, and for the mommies and daddies whose arms will ache with emptiness for a lifetime. Jesus, come and save us.

Merry Christmas, and may His peace reign over our fear and lack of understanding.
