“Stones of Remembrance” is now in it’s 2nd stage of editing, thanks to the lovely Lona. My good friend Olivia and I pushed our way through it over the past few months, trying to get it ready for professional editing, which at this point in time is not a viable option because of the $$ factor. A wise friend counselled me to prove to myself that my books will sell before putting a whole lot of cash into them. Hopefully they WILL sell and provide a way to pay for editing the next one! So I’m moving forward, hoping to self-publish this book! I have gotten another set of notes from a friend, so when I get edits back from my newspaper fiend friend Lona, I’ll take them all at once and work it out. Then I’ll send it off to my sister who deems herself a “Ruthless Editor” (and a teacher), for the final edit, and then hopefully by then I’ll have all my business ducks in a row and will be able to submit to Bookshooter.com for online publication, and then I’ll begin raising the dough to get this thing in PRINT!
In the meantime, I’m still plugging away at the song-inspired novel I’ve been talking about. I’ve re-written the beginning now 3 times…and I have a feeling it might take me years to write this book. But it’ll be worth it. It’s not me, it’s Him. And portraying that in a way that doesn’t communicate cheese or lameness? Well… again… it’s not me, it’s Him. Thankfully!
So that’s where things are at! Baby Steps!
